Kids snack – Healthy Minted “Caramel” Dip for Fruit

Traditionally caramel is made by caramelizing sugar. It has no nutritional value. Our version is simple to make and only has natural sugar from dates and honey.

 

Hands on time – 5 minutes

 

Ingredients:

 

½ cup Vanilla Coconut milk

3-4 mint leaves

½ cup dates

½ cup honey

 

Equipment needed:

 

Container with cover

Food processor or a high-speed blender (Vitamix)

 

Instructions:

 

  1. Pour the coconut milk into a container, add mint and let infuse in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes

 

  1. Discard all the leaves but one.

 

  1. Add infused milk, 1 mint leaf, honey and dates into the Vitamix. Blend well.

 

  1. Serve with cut up apples or pears.
